March Favourites 2016 ♡

Hi guys,

Seeing as it's now the end of March I thought I'd share my March favourites with you!

Most of these things I bought a few months ago but have worn/used them non stop through out March :)

1. Earrings

I've had these earrings for a few months now, they came in a pack of earrings and I liked the others so really didn't plan on wearing these because I wasn't really a fan of silver jewellery. However, for Valentine's Day and mine and my boyfriend's anniversary, my boyfriend bought me two silver necklaces - and now I love silver! Just shows that you have to find the right piece of jewellery to fall in love with the metal!

So I've been wearing these earrings a lot throughout March!

2. Ariana Grande's perfume

I got this perfume from my mum last Christmas, and have been wearing it ever since! My mum could always smell it on me so she ended up loving it and bought herself a bottle lol. It's such a girly scent - if you love sweet smelling perfumes then this is definitely for you!

3 & 4. Topshop Lipstick Pillow Talk and Sleek Eau La La Liner Red Sky Night

I used to be obsessed with this lipstick a few years ago, when Topshop first released this colour as a limited edition colour. When they stopped selling it I was so upset, but now Topshop have it as a permanent colour - yay!

I completely forgot how much I loved it until I wore it for the first time in agesssss and fell in love with it again! I'm upset that it's nearly run out though - need to buy it again!

The Sleek lip liner is a perfect match for this lipstick!

5. Bunny that my nan knitted lol

My nan is so creative and clever, she makes these little bunny rabbits! My nan is amazing at knitting! When my sister and I were younger she'd make us little knitted cardigans, and knit us toys. My nan tried to teach me to knit - I'm not bad lol but would love to be able to do the amazing things my nan can do!

This little bunny lives on my dressing table in my bedroom, and as it's Spring now I thought it'd be the perfect time to show her off lol.

6. Weird German banana chocolate things!

I got these in ESK, they were £1.39 for a box and you get 24 chocolate banana things in there. I love them so much and I'm upset that they're all gone! I need to go back to ESK to buy some more! It's a soft banana sweet covered in chocolate. My boyfriend doesn't like them because he thinks they're too sweet, but idc - more for me!!

So they were my March favourites!

Let me know if you've tried/own any of the things I've mentioned above :) If not, let me know what your March favourites are - I'd love to know!

Easy Spring Floral Nail Art | Step by Step Spring Nail Art

Hi guys,

I did my nails a couple of days ago and then realised that they're perfect for Spring lol. So I thought I'd recreate my nail look for a Spring inspired nail art tutorial to show you all!

I wear floral nails quite a lot - any season! Floral nails are so simple to do and always look so nice, rather than just a plain nail colour (not that there's anything wrong with plain nails!)

L-R: Orly Coral Pink, Barry M Dragon and Sinful Colors Be Happy. A dotting tool.

1. Using Orly Coral Pink and the large end of my dotting tool I just did some big circles. They don't have to be perfect - the rougher the edges, the better.

2. Then using the same end of the dotting tool and Barry M Dragon, I swirled the two colours together.

3. To do the leaves I used the small end of the dotting tool and Sinful Colors Be Happy.

To add more definition to the leaves you could add a darker green down the middle, but I didn't bother doing that as I did my nails quickly!

That's all you need to do - seriously so quick and simple!

I hope you liked this quick little step by step tutorial! Let me know if you tried this!

Also, let me know if you're a fan of floral nails!

Bean Boozled Challenge!

Hi guys,

My sister and I have done the Bean Boozled Challenge!

If you don't know what it is, I'll explain!

There's a box of jelly beans and each colour could be one of two flavours, for example black jelly beans could either be skunk spray or liquorice and brown jelly beans could be chocolate pudding or canned dog food - so gross right?!

We filmed the video and it is up on our YouTube channel, you can watch it here!

Let me know what you think, and would you ever do this challenge??

Too Faced Melted Lipstick | Melted Fig | Review & Swatches

Hi guys,

So if you've been reading my blog over the last month, I have recently had an obsession with Too Faced Melted Lipsticks. Here's my post about Too Faced Melted Chocolate Lipstick and here's my post about my Too Faced Melted Metal Lipstick.

I always wanted one when they first came out but I didn't know I could it buy it in the UK lol how stupid am I?! When I found out Debenhams sold them, I went a bit crazy and have bought 3 in the last month!!

Also, I heard that they're releasing Too Faced Melted Matte lipsticks which will be on sale from the beginning of April (idk if that's just USA though) so I'm super super happy about that!

The most recent Too Faced Melted Lipstick I bought is this one in the colour Fig. It's a gorgeous purple/mauve colour.

Just like the rest of the Melted Lipsticks, it's super pigmented and very glossy, as you can see in the pictures below!

This is a gorgeous lipstick and I love it! If you'd like me to do a makeup look using this lipstick, let me know!

Let me know if you own any Too Faced Melted Lipsticks, and if so, which ones do you have??

Also let me know if you have any other Too Faced products - I'm in love with their lipsticks so would like to try some of their other products!

My Go-To Look - Neutral Eyes | Sunday fotd

Hi guys,

I thought I'd do a quick face of the day! I haven't done much today. I went to my boyfriend's nan's house for lunch and then to Tesco lol. It's been a pretty chilled Sunday I guess.

I am upset though, because I had allllll of last week off work, and tomorrow is my first day back so I feel like a kid going back to school after the summer holidays lol!

For my eye makeup I used the Gwen Stefani Eye Shadow Palette by Urban Decay (see my review on this palette here).

I used Zone in my crease, Pop in the inner half of my eyelid, Steady for the outer half of my eyelid. I blended Punk into my outer crease and used Serious in the outer corner to add definition.

This look is probably my go-to look if I can't be bothered to do anything special - it's so quick and easy to do lol.

Lashes - Eyelure 116
Eyeliner - Rimmel Gel Eyeliner, 001 Black
Mascara (bottom lashes) - Maybelline Colossal Volume Express
Mascara (top lashes) - L'Oreal Telescopic

Foundation - Rimmel Lasting Finish, 200 Soft Beige
Concealer - L'Oreal Lumimagique, 1 Light
Eyebrows - Maybelline Master Brow Pro Palette, Deep Brown
Bronzer - Benefit's Hoola
Blush - Milani Baked Blush, 02 Rose D'Oro
Highlight - Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit, Dripping In Gold (Review of this palette here)
Lip liner - Sleek Eau La La Liner, Red Sky Night 324
Lipstick - Topshop, Pillow Talk
Lip gloss - Bourjois 3D Effect, 59 Rose Allegoric

Jumper - River Island
Earrings - Select

I hope you've all had a lovely Sunday, and are feeling recharged for the week ahead!

Let me know what you've been up to today, I'd like to know! :) It's interesting seeing what other people get up to!

Glossybox | March 2016

It's a new month - which means I received a new Glossybox!

Before I show you what I got, I just want to know if anyone else has seen what people in the USA get in their Glossyboxs?? Well I know, and I'm upset! They get such amazing things!! This month I saw a girl on Snapchat open her Glossybox and she got a mini Too Faced Melted Lipstick (wth I want that!) and some other amazing things, like a really nice hand cream - the brand "I Love..."

Not wanting to sound ungrateful (I mean, I can't because I pay for it lol), but they get awesome products. In my opinion, out of all the Glossyboxs I have received so far, this month's is not as good as the rest. So seeing what people in the USA get in theirs has made me angry - well not angry, but upset! I want the mini Too Faced Melted liptick!!

Rant over!! Here's what I got in my March Glossybox! :)

Luxie Rose Gold Large Angled Face Brush - £10.42
I love this brush; it's pink and rose gold - can it get any girlier?! The brush bristles are so soft and the brush seems like really good quality. Excited to use this!
Hey Honey Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum - Full Size £28.81
I've never heard of this brand before but I love the name and packaging. I'm looking forward to using this and seeing if it's any good.

Collection Speedy Highlighter - Full Size £3.99

This is gorgeous! It's so shimmery. It goes on your skin really creamy and when you blend it, it feels powdery - which I find makes it easier to blend. I really like this!

Olay Regenerist Luminous Skin Tone Perfecting Cream - Full Size £29.99
I really like the idea of this product - but I'm not sure how to use it lol. Is it a cream you put on under foundation or something you'd put on before going to bed?? If you know, please let me know!
-417 Catharsis Vitamin Mineral Shampoo and Conditioner - Full Size £16.89 each

Apparently these two have 'Dead Sea moisture balancing minerals, energising vitamins and essential oils' in them - ooh fancy stuff! In all honesty, I don't think they smell that nice. I like my shampoo and conditioner to smell sweet and fruity, or like coconut! However I will give them a try and maybe use them when I go away.
Let me know if you receive a Glossybox or any other subscription beauty boxes. I'd love to know what you think of them.
I'd also love to know what you think about the American Glossyboxs - you know what I think lol!

8 Must-Have Beach Essentials

Summer is literally just around the corner, so seeing as a lot of people are planning on going away I thought I'd do a quick little guide with 8 must-have beach essentials that you must not forget this summer!

1. Sun cream

I'm going to sound like a teacher or a parent - lol - but I can not stress enough how important it is to protect your skin from the sun!! Whenever you're out during the summer, always put on sun cream. Future you will thank you!

L-R Nivea and Piz Buin

2. Water

It's always important to drink plenty of water whilst out in the sun - actually, you should be drinking water everyday, but it's definitely more important when in the sun, to keep you hydrated. If you're not a fan of water, try adding some fruit to it.

L-R Recipe here and recipe here

3. A glam beach cover up

I love a good cover up, could be a kimono, kaftan, anything! Most people use cover ups to give themselves an extra layer of protection from the sun's rays, but they can also be used to keep you cool. Yeah I know, putting something on to cool you down?! But seriously, it does help by keeping the sun off your skin!

L-R River Island and Boohoo
4. Sandals

A pair of sandals are a must - gotta have your feet looking fab! Here are some cute sandals below.

Both River Island, L-R here and here

5. A cute beach bag

Of course you need a beach bag; how else are you going to carry your beach essentials?? Some really cute beach bags below!

L-R Accessorize and River Island
6.  Beach towel

I've seen so many amazing beach towels in the shops for this summer. I've also seen a lot of round beach towels on Etsy like the one below. I don't know how they would work on sun loungers? They look amazing though!

L-R Victoria Secrets and Etsy
7.  Sunglasses

Sunglasses are a no brainer! They're good to protect your eyes from the sun, but even better for hiding your makeupless face whilst sprawled out on a sun lounger! In my opinion, the bigger the better!

L-R New Look and River Island

8. Gorgeous swim wear

Now, I don't know about you but I swear swimsuits were never popular or aimed at/styled for younger people. I used to think swimsuits were old fogey and for middle aged mums who'd take their kid to the local swimming pool - but they're not! They have some gorgeous swimsuits out in the shops this year! I now look at swimsuits in a new light!

All from River Island. Left, Middle and Right

Not a beach essential but delicious - cocktails!

If you are laying on a beach in a lovely hot exotic country and are not sipping a delicious cocktail out of a coconut then you are doing something wrong! Haha I'm joking, but in my opinion having cocktails is a holiday must (or mocktails for those of you that don't like alcohol!)

For those of you that are going away this year, I hope you have an amazing time! If you're not going away - who cares! You can go down to your local beach and still look glam!

Let me know if you have any other things that are your beach essentials!

Too Faced Melted Chocolate Lipstick | Chocolate Milkshake | Review & Swatches

Hi guys,

I recently read a blog post about the Too Faced Melted Chocolate Lipsticks (I can't remember which blog though!!) After reading the blog post and googling some swatches I knew I had to get one!

I got the colour Chocolate Milkshake. It's a gorgeous creamy peachy nude colour!

It was a toss up between Chocolate Honey and Chocolate Milkshake, but I went with Chocolate Milkshake because I recently bought a darker lipstick like Chocolate Honey.

The colour is so nice and glossy and is very pigmented.

Like all Too Faced Melted Lipsticks, it has the sponge applicator - which I love!

I'm so gutted that I can't remember which blog I read about these lipsticks because I wouldn't have even known about them if it wasn't for the blog post I read!!

Let me know if you have any of these Too Faced Melted Chocolate Lipsticks, or any Too Faced Melted Lipsticks. I really love them, and wish that they were cheaper so I could buy more!!
