Naturally Better You | Pacifica Enlighten Palette* ♡

Hi guys,

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas/happy holidays!

I was lucky enough to be contacted by a lovely lady at Naturally Better You and was given this gorgggg palette!

Just look at the gorgeous packaging!!

Naturally Better You is a website where you can purchase products that contain natural and organic ingredients.

The thing I love the most about the Naturally Better You website is that (as far as I can see!) allllll the makeup they sell is vegan friendly and the products aren't tested on animals. Whenever I see that brands don't test on animals it makes me 100000% more likely to buy products from them - which is why I'm not too keen on MAC products atm...

L-R: Skinnydip, Coral Sand, Golden & Urchin
Another thing that is good about the Naturally Better You website is the way in which you can search.

Most websites you can only search by category, however this website you can search by concern. For example, if you had dry skin and wanted a suitable body cream you can search for it. I think this feature is very helpful!

Urchin - purple shade with gold tones
Golden - beautiful shimmery gold colour
Coral Sand - gorgeous shimmery coral colour
Skinnydip - a matte nude shade

The palette I was given is by a brand called Pacifica. This palette is 100% vegan and cruelty-free!

I have already been eyeing up a few more products on the Naturally Better You website that I may have to purchase in the New Year!

Have you been on the Naturally Better You website?
Also, do you know any cruelty-free makeup brands? I'd love to know.

EOS Lip Balms ♡

Hi guys,

What's the one lip balm you reach for when your lips feel a bit dry? Vaseline? Chapstick? Anything you can get your hands on?

I've recently been using my EOS lip balm again. I keep it on my desk, along with other lip balms so it's always in reach whenever I have dry lips (girlies cant have dry lips!). One day I reached for it as all my other ones weren't on the shelf (they weren't there because I've used them and obviously been too lazy to put them back lol) and I completely forgot how much I like my EOS Lip Balm!

The one I've got is Lemon Drop. It's in this pretty pastel lemon packaging. It also tastes really nice lol!

I'd really like to try their Strawberry Sorbet lip balm or Pomegranate Raspberry one!

If you'd like to see the story behind EOS you can check it out here; flavours of eos lip balm.

Have you got any EOS lip balms? If so, which flavour do you have?

Glossybox | December 2016 | Christmas Edition ❄️

Hi guys!

I haven't done a Glossybox post in absolutely ages!! I'm pretty sure my last post was back in August... a very long time ago lol.

(Also, I'm sorry for the picture quality. I didn't get a chance to take pics of the products in natural light. The UK gets dark about 4pm, and I finish work at 5pm - sooo it was dark pics or no pics lol)

So here's what's in this month's Glossybox!

Collection Cosmetics Define & Perfect Eyebrow Powder, £4.19

I tried this the other day and I really like it. It's great for creating natural looking brows! I'll be doing a blog post on this little gem soon!

Lipcote, £3.99

This is a lipstick sealer, which means it keeps your lipstick on all day. I'm usually pretty lucky with lipstick - mine stays on allllll day because I don't lick/bite my lips throughout the day lol. I'll be interested if it keeps lipstick on whilst eating though!

MDMflow Semi-matte Lipstick in Vamp, £18

The colour of this lipstick is GORG! You can't see properly in the picture *sad face* but I'm sure you'll be seeing this soon, either on my Instagram or in one of my YouTube tutorials!

Essence Light Up Your Face Luminizer Palette, £3

Ahhhh this is so pretty!! I can't wait to use it! I didn't do any swatches because I want to do a separate blog post on this! So keep ya eyes peeled lol.

Revlon Nail Enamel in Valentine, £6.49

How festive is this colour?! It literally screams Christmas!! I will defo be wearing this on Christmas day!

❄️       ⛄️       🎄

This has been the best Glossybox of the year, by far! All the products were makeup (apart from the nail varnish, but I'm always wearing nail varnish!)

I always love trying new makeup so seeing as this box contained mainly makeup, I was thrilled!!

If you got a GB this month, which product was your fave? If you don't receive a GB, do you subscribe to any other beauty boxes? :)

Sweet Cecily's | Coconut Body Butter*

Hi guys,

I was lucky enough to receive this cute little parcel from Sweet Cecily's!

I had heard of Sweet Cecily's but had never tried their products - so when I received this parcel I was very happy!

I received this gorgeous tub of Coconut Body Butter!

The pattern on the tub is so beautiful - I love it! The body butter itself is so lovely. It's made with rich shea butter and almond and apricot oils.

I've used it several times after getting out of the shower (which is the best time to apply body cream btw!) and it doesn't take ages to sink in, unlike some body butters I own.

The smell is divine - if you like coconut, that is. I adore the smell of coconut; I own coconut scented everything (honestly, everything possible...!)

They also do other scents, if you aren't a coconut addict like me lol.

This body butter is one of my favourites and will be one I reach for when in need of moisturising!

Have you tried any products from Sweet Cecily's?

Blank Canvas Cosmetics | New Dimension Series Brushes*

Hi guys,

I was lucky enough to be sent these gorgeous brushes to review!

The brushes are by Blank Canvas Cosmetics and are part of their new Dimension Series. Their brush collection can be found here if you'd like to have a look!

The brushes come in 5 different colours; Hot Pink Gold, Metallic Champagne Pink, Rose Gold Black, Metallic Gold and Metallic Rose Gold. The ones I received are Rose Gold metal with black handles.

I already own one brush by Blank Canvas Cosmetics, an F20 Flat Buffer Brush. I use this brush everyday as it's my foundation and I love it; so I knew these brushes I received will live up to my expectations!

The brushes I received:

F34 Large Powder Brush - can be used for loose/pressed powder and bronzer.

F33 Extreme Angle Contour Brush - ideal for contouring cheekbones or noses, with either cream or powder products.

F08 Dome Buffing Brush - can be used for foundation, concealer, blush and even contouring; with either cream, powder, mousse or gel products.

Top to bottom:
F34 Large Powder Brush
F08 Dome Buffing Brush
F33 Extreme Angle Contour Brush

These brushes are all vegan friendly (which is amazing!) and all three are £13.33 each. I think that's a good price considering how good the brushes are! I will definitely be looking into purchasing more of these brushes!

If you're interested in reading a review about Blank Canvas Cosmetics' other products; I did a review on one of their eyeshadow palettes.

Let me know if you own any Blank Canvas Cosmetics products. What do you think about their new brush range? Let me know!

Blank Canvas Cosmetics Pippa Palette* Review & Swatches ♡

Hi guys,

I was recently sent this gorgeous palette to review. The palette is by Blank Canvas Cosmetics and can be found here.

Packaging:
The packaging really is gorgeous. A girly pastel pink colour with embossed floral accents. As lovely as it is, considering the cost of the palette I would expect the packaging to be a bit better - not just cardboard; but then again cardboard can be recycled unlike plastic. So actually, I like the cardboard!
(I can't believe how quickly I changed my opinion in that last sentence lol)

Pigment & Quality:
As you can see from the pictures below, these eye shadows are very lovely when swatched. The darker colours (K.D, Dodo, Susu, Tobi & Armour) are very pigmented, whereas the lighter shades need several layers to build up. Nevertheless they are all such gorgeous colours.
These shades are the perfect shades to create a beautiful natural smokey eye.

Lily - muted ivory-vanilla shade
 Ollie - warm toned nude-beige
Tobi - warm soft brown shade
Susu - warm terracotta brown shade
Dodo - rich dark chocolate brown shade
K.D - matte carbon black shade

Amour - matte warm brown bronzer/contouring colour
♡ Pipsy - light coral-pink blush
Lulu - champagne colour highlighter

Value for Money:
On Blank Canvas Cosmetics' website, this palette is selling at £31.63. The colours are gorgeous and are very pigmented, however I don't think I'd buy this palette for the price. Maybe £15 but not at the price it is now. This is probably because I do not spend anymore than £25+ on palettes (apart from the UD x Gwen Stefani palette, review here if you're interested!
If you like to spend a bit more money on eye shadow palettes, then I'd recommend trying this one!

I am very glad that I have this gorgeous palette to add to my ever growing eye shadow palette collection and I can't wait to create some natural smokey eyes with these beautiful shades!

Also, this palette is gluten free, vegan friendly and not tested on animals! For that alone this palette deserves the full 5 hearts!

Another thing that I like about this palette is that there is a personal meaning behind each shade; you can check out Blank Canvas Cosmetics website to see why Pippa chose those names. I think that is a really lovely touch!
.
Let me know if you've tried this palette or any other products by Blank Canvas Cosmetics?
